Where's the Silver Lining?

Seniors in high school.  12 years later after we first started school. Day after day the same people. Day after day the same homework. Day after day the same exact routine. Ever.Single Day. Everyone's irritated with each other, everyone is sick of coming to school. Seeing the ratchets everywhere. Getting stuck behind the people who walk about as fast as a turtle. People screaming down the halls at each other. The awkward encounters with our exes. And honestly for me- just people talking. like seriously shh. stop talking to me because I don't want to see, hear or even look at you. Get to school in a bad mood, leave school in a bad mood.  So is there anything good about being a senior in high school?  I guess the only good thing about it is that we only have 2 months left. And i guess the educatioon... even tho school isn't about learning anymore, it's about cramming everything into one night to get grades. 2 months we're out the jam.We get a break- well technically a permanent break- from everybody we've been in school with since freshman year- maybe even since the first day of kindergarten. We get the needed break from our parents and family, the boring HoFlo where Friday nights are spent watching Netflix by ourselves because there is never anything to do.  Everything in this town is horrible- school being the worst. But if we look at the sliver lining of it; it's the end. It's the finale to the stressful, boring, irritating days of our high school careers. It's almost done.          

Series Finale of The Time Traveler

After arriving home from his "adventure" with Lawrence, Nicky could not get it off his mind no matter how hard he tried.  Nicky had it all- a beautiful wife, a baby on the way, a huge house that he loved, and an amazing job that he could accomplish anything with. Yet, something was still making him sad: Lawrence.  Even a week after he time traveled with Lawrence, it was still upsetting him. He told the entire story to his wife, while cuddling with a hand on her pregnant tummy.  They couldn't even imagine what Lawrence was going through now, and how'd he feel for the rest of his life.  They wanted nothing more than to talk to Lawrence and help him out, so that's what they tried to do.  Still having his number, Nicky gave Lawrence a call, but no answer. This really upset Nicky and Cori. "Hey I have an idea," Nicky said. "How about we take one more time travel to the future to see how we're living. Seeing Lawrence's story, and how it's really affecting him, makes me curious about our future together, and our child's."
"Well.. I don't know, I don't want any spoilers- I want our life to go on adventurous ans spontaneous and not knowing what's ahead." Cori responded.
"Cori, we already know that we're going to be together for the rest of our lives, loving our children and being happy, why not get a glimpse of it? Look, after seeing Lawrence unhappy without parents in his life at all, it made me realize that I always want to be there for our baby. I think... I think I'm going to give up my time traveling career."
"Nicky no. You put so much work and effort into that. You MADE that because it's something that you love."
"NO Cori, I think my minds made up. It's time consuming, and I don't want to be away from you or our children. So please lets just take the journey, one last adventure before I give it up for good."

 They never took the time travel to see themselves in the future, instead they decided the rest of their lives to be a surprise. Nicky quit his job to spend time with his family,and even found a more interesting hobby- teaching his now 4 year old son, Jamie, all about time traveling.  Every time Nicky toells Jamie some of his stories, he gasps, asking 100 questions, and can't even believe it.

Time traveler 2

After his return from prom night with James, Nicky came home to great news  from his wife Cori, that she was pregnant. With that in mind, Nicky knew he had to take a few months off from time traveling to get things prepared. Even though dozens of clients were still calling him up looking for his help, Nicky had to refuse them his help. However, one certain client stuck out to Nicky. 

Lawrence, a curious 16 year old boy desperately wanted and needed his help. A few days ago, Lawrence found out some drastic news in his home life;his parents weren't actually his parents. It wasn't even that he was adopted by his "parents", he was found. That's some pretty hard news to receive, and Lawrence was crushed by it, that he just wanted to see his real parents. 

After calling Nicky eight times, and leaving messages telling his story, Nicky and Cori both decided it'd be a nice thing to do for the poor kid. So the next day, another adventure began. 

Going back 16 years to where he was born, Lawrence and Nicky found themselves outside a small apartment in Colorado. Standing outside on a nice summer day, they could hear a baby boys cries coming from inside the house, and cries and screams coming from a young couple who we're suppose to be watching the baby boy. They could head the whole argument coming from inside the small window. 

"You told me we could do this that's why we both made a decision to go through with it and keep Lawrence." screamed Lawrence's mother. "I don't want this, I DIDN'T want this. I can't do it and I'm not going to do it."

"wait" Lawrence said. "I need to know how they were before they had me and before they got pregnant and decided to keep me. Can we go back 12 more months? "

*Fastforward to when they went back 12 months to Denver Colorado. It was his moms birthday* 

Standing outside a nice restaurant, they could see his parents laughing,eating and having fun with each other and a couple of friends. At the end of the night, they cheerfully left the restaurant with each other, walking form the street to a small corner park that was beautifully lit by a colorful fountain. Just a few moments later, his father kissed his mom and suddenly dropped down to one knee holding a ring. 

*go back to standing outside the house after Lawrence's birth* 

"it was all me.i ruined their relationship. They didn't want me from the start..look at how happy they were before me." said Lawrence. "I want to go home now. I can't bare to see how and where they left me. I'm sorry for wasting your time, can we go"

As a teenager, I'm not even ashamed to say that I'm not 100% comfortable in my body; I'd love to shed a couple pounds and be more toned, just like most teenagers. after reading girls comments and posts on this article, you truly see how many people are uncomfortable in their bodies. I feel bad and want to tell them all they they're beautiful the way they are, but then I feel like a huge hypocrite because I'm the same way; I want to be skinnier. I think when teens read posts like this it helps but some take it too far. I don't know weight loss and like healthy lifestyle choices as well going to they gym everyday are a big part of my life and I try to do it in a healthy way, while some teens are drastic with it and begin developing food disorders.

Another Friday night in the HoFlo area...hmm i wonder whats going on. Before the weekend actually comes, everyone anticipates it so much but once its here everyone's in bed looking for plans. Counting down the days until graduation, i think its safe to say everyone's tired of each other and wants to start a new life at college. Doing what I do best (watching gossip girl) im in bed friday when rew boo comes over. Even though there was nothing to do, these other 2 boys and 2 girls came over. Fu**ing boring night. God. Honestly.. we played truth or daree. I cant stand that game and was pissed because it was so awkward with one of the boys. Just before everybody came,earlier that night we all went to dinner, and it was way more fun than playing a game. Kissing people because of a dare? Like hell I would. Maybe it was just because everybody's watching and the fact that it's more than just a kiss with one of the boys, but i was not trying to do that. Not for me. On top of that, everybody is just so boring. People think "hanging out" consists of sitting in silence on their phones. Quietness fills us. Reasons why I hate hanging out with people kept popping into my mind, making me want to end the night. Sydney had to leave so great.. now it was even more awkward and boring.  To be honest, i think i told the boys they had to leave because they were boring me. Utterly disgusted with them, they finally left and my two friends and I had more fun watching a movie than we did hanging out with them. Very soon after the boys left, one of them texted me right after wanting to come back, i had to treat. Why am i so bitter, but honestly i don't like anybody and want to be left alone because i couldnt even believe how bored i was that night. Xnayyyy on the xnayyy on hanging with people. Yay for netflix and being by myself.

WAKARUSA

ever heard of string cheese? nah not the food but the band: the string cheese incident. or eoto, STS9. Its not your normal type of music but its one of my favorite types. all techno and instrumental sounds, the concerts are probably the most turnt ones you'll ever go to. its something about it that makes it so much fun. now when you watch the video, you may think it's kind of hippie-ish, which it is, but not as much as wakarusa. just like electric forest and summer camp, wakarusa is one of the greatest musical feztivals each year. almost like a carnival, people pitch their tents in Arkansas and get ready for the hippies to have some fun. everythings outdoors where you camp for the weekend and mingle with everybody around. it looks like so much color,festivals and so much going on words ant even describe it... its something you just need to live through and experience. soooo happy i finally get to go this year

Netfix taking over lives?

Lets all take a moment to think about just how addicting Netflix is.
Liike... its actually crazy how much it consumes my life. I can come home from school, go right to my bed, turn on one episode of gossip girl, and next thing i know, its 10pm and I'm about to begin my 6th episode of the night. AND I CAN'T EVEN HELP IT. its not even that i'm addicted to gossip girl.. its netflix.Netflix is the evil angel in my life. its such a wonderful invention because we have access to whole series of television shos without the anxious breaks of waiting for the new season, and theres no commercials!! thats love.
but on the otherhand.. whyyyy does it have to be in my life. I watch my netflix from the wii... in my room... right next to my bed.. STARING me in the face when I'm trying to do my homework. so thats that. I don't even know what homework is anymore thanks to netflix. One day we had off of school, i watched twelve episodes that day. left my bed strictly to eat and use the bathroom. like its just so easy to keep hitting that "play next episode" button. its an automatic reaction.. an impulse. most people watch an episode a day. Me? one season in a day***  Over the summer, i watched the entire Orange is the New black series in one sitting.. acceptable or nah?whatever.. my beds already calling me for June 6th when the second season comes out :)

Skinny or Healthy?/

I think it's really becoming a major issue that social media such as tumblr, instagram, models, and all kinds of magazines, are giving teenage girls a false idea of what their body should really be. Pictures such as these, make girls believe the barbie face and body is the ideal image, and every girl should look like this. I'll admit that I would love to be skinnier and prettier and I do try, but never to the point of self harm.  Girls starve themselves, exercise excessively, force themselves to throw up and all other kinds of self harm just to try to look like a false image.  Barbie isn't real, her body and beauty is not realistic so why are girls trying so hard.

Doing all they can to lose that stomach, get that thigh gap, and cake 10 pounds of makeup on their faces.

Funny thing is.. nobody is naturally like that/

Society isn't like that..

I think teenage girls need to stop the self harm and realize they are beautiful just as they are.  These models and tumblr girls give us all false hope that they are the perfect beauty and their goal is to make everybody want to be them.   The woman in this picture is absolutely gorgeous just the way she is, just like everybody is. So stop changing yourself and be happy with what you have because the image that you think is perfect, doesn't exist.    

The time Traveler

"Ugh babe do you have to go. I neeeed you here." Cori says to her husband Nicky. "Honey you know I do, but I'll be back in two days. Not even, one night and half a day.I'll be back."
'I just don't like you leaving, what if you come back to the wrong time on accident?" Nicky looks at her in shock."Is that a joke? Hun I'm a pro,I know what i'm doing. I'm gonna come to the right time so I can be back home with my beautiful wife."
"Fiiine. Just be safe" she says, as she gives him a long passionate kiss.
Lets rewind. When you think of a time traveler,what do you think of? I BET you don't think of an actual time traveler- somebody who literally travels back in time. Well, you haven't met Nicky.  Nicky Robertson recently got married to Cori, at just 21 years old.  Graduating college,he quickly found his passion:Time traveling.At the University of Michigan, Nicky and a couple classmates invented a time machine, where they can travel back and forth in time.The point? well... who wouldn't want to travel in time and change things.  Here's how it works."Clients" reach out to Nicky by sending him letters,emails, texts- any type of communication that tells there stories to him.These can be any situation that happened in the past that they want changed. Nicky then picks them up, and together, they travel through the time machine so Nicky can help them fix whatever they want to.
*This week on Time Changer with Nicky, James,a young teenage boy made a huge mistake about 3 months ago* Lets tune in.
"So what exactly are we fixing today?"Nicky asks James."Well the night of prom, I honestly wish I never went. So much went wrong that night and it kinda ruined my life now, and I need to take it all back. Could we just go back to the dance and I'll explain from there?"
"Sure thing. Lets get to the machine"
The time machine is a magical thing, and its actually amazing the way it works. Its fairly small, and easy to work. All you need is the time date and location of where you'd like to go, and BAM you're there.
They stepped out of the machine to see the senior class dancing away at their senior prom. They quickly spotted the past James and made their way over to him. Watching him closely,they saw him to start making his way over to the food table where he would soon spike the punch. Now of course, they cant be seen by anybody, so they're constantly dodging everybody and hiding behind everything.  What James didn't know then, was there were cameras all around, that 2 days after prom, James' diploma and chances of walking at graduation were revoked because he was caught spiking the drink. James and Nicky carefully thought about the best thing to do, which was simply knocking over the broom as soon as the old James walked back which landed on the table knocking over the last bowl of punch. OUP sorry James, there's no punch for you to spike today.
Staying with the prom group all night,James and Nicky found their way to the lakehouse where James made yet a couple more mistakes. On the way to the lakehouse, James was driving separately from the rest of his friends. He and his date were together, but James had been drinking a little.Knowing this, James and Nicky went ahead and stopped the car of another driver, that James would have crashed into and drove away like nothing happened.  So now, James and his date were able to get there safely.
Later thant night, as all the couples have been drinking... some things went on seperately among the couples if you kow what I mean. James and his date were in one of the rooms, and one thing led to another.. and james had recently found out that hes going to be a father. Probably the biggest mistake of his life, he'd do anything to change that night.So here was his chance.
After making there way to the lakehouse, and waiting till everybody went in their rooms, James and Nicky set a small fire in the kitchen, that got the whole house scared and wild, and delayed them all from going to their rooms. This worked for a little bit, but still a couple hours later, everybody was calmed down and back with their dates.  So needing a new plan, Nicky began knocking on the windows and making creepy noises that got the whole house freaked out. The girls wanted to leave immediately, and all they boys-pressed- decided they would leave for the night. Bo funny business happened that night, no mistakes and no worries hat James had to worry about for the rest of his life.
"Thanks a lot for helping me Nicky, some things just need to be changed"
"No problem James, lets get back home where your life is saved, and everythings back to normal."
They made their way back to the time machine,when James could continue his life at college with no problem, and Nicky can return to his lovely wife who missed him dearly.

the BEY

As bey was performing with the chair at the grammys, of course she looked beautiful, but through the lights and fog, it wasn't until she stood up that had us all thinking she looks dramatically skinnier!

kaybe it was just thee outfit?nah for the second time, beyonce and jay z have gone on a vegan diet that together they have lost a total of 110 pounds.LOL lets see how many fans start the vegan diet tomorrow, the day after the grammys. As well as the weight lets take amoment on her hair.

but of course there's always that one fan who's gotta comment. INstagram takes over and all i see is pictures of girls trying to imitate the hair, but in a funny way-itsjustnot working for them.  It want until I saw a picture of some boy with actual ramen noodles on his head, imitating the hair that had me thinking... wow 

YES LORDE

BABY I'LL RULE. yassss lorde served me on the night of the grammys! When she first came out with her first hit "Royals" I fell INLOVE. I think she is gorgeous and don't even get me started on how much i love her hair! Sooo why on the night  of the grammys this year, everybody on twitter made me so mad.  After her performance,I'm scrolling down my timeline reading all these hate comments like "ew she looks so old" or "she looks possessed."And I'm just sitting here like.... but are YOU at the grammys?>?! Everybody is so quick to judge performances when they're at home sitting on the couch doing nothing NEARLY as great as lorde.  Like,I'll admit in the beginning those littl sporadc movements were a bit... awkward but besides that..why you hatin? I thought her performance was everything and she is gorgeoussss.  I even saw this nonsense where her birth certificate was researched and brought up to confirm that she was in fact 17 years old.-_-  She is.  It's actually crazy how so many people judge, and completely overlook her talents.  Instead of noticing her amazzing voice and her TRUE beauty, they're more concerned on how old she loos, the way she dances and her boyfriend..I guess "fans" who hate are obviously her biggest fans since they're so concerned with her.

The Island in the clouds

She gasped with excitement and shouted over the noise of the propeller: "The islands in the clouds are real!! Am I dreaming..I don't believe this." Annabelle,now 13 years old, was diagnosed with leukemia when she was just 8 years old. Her parents, doing all they can by calling all the specialists near and far, to save their little daughter's life wanted the world for Annabelle. Unfortunately,  after at least 10 doctors' opinions, we found out she has only a short time left. After watching your child be born, learn to crawl, talk and walk was the greatest memories of their lives, and soon, memories will be all they have left. Annabelle stays strong for her parents, and tries to carry on being happy and pretending nothing is wrong. Everybody has a bucket list of all the adventurous things to do before the die, Annabelle just tells her parents she has to complete her list a little earlier. After all the long months spent in hospitals, weekly checkups, and always being sick and held up in nasty hospitals, Annabelle was ready to get out and live the rest of her life. After visiting Disney World, all the beaches in California and visiting the Big Apple for a huge shopping spree, she has almost completed everything on her list. For a few years now, all Annabelle has talked about was wanting to become a pilot, so she could travel all over the world, and feel  the thrill of being thousands of feet above the rest of the world.  She always thought that high up in the clouds magical things were happening; that there were special islands that you could visit, and watch the world from a completely different point of view. More than anything, she wished to be the best helicopter pilot anyone could imagine,and give people the rides of their lives so they could visit these islands. One very special morning, Annabelle's parents got to the hospital early to surprise her by taking her out to an event where young cancer patients get the chance to ride in a helicopter. The sponsors of this event understand that cancer can be consuming and these young children have goals and dreams that unlike others, they don't have enough time to fulfill them.  Once they arrived,along with a few other children, Annabelle was chosen for the ride.  Her father came along,bringing tears to his eyes to see how happy Annabelle was.  It was a beautiful sunny day with more and more clouds the higher they went. She was anxiously looking out the window to see the world from above, where everything looked micro tiny. As her eyes grew wider and wider as they rose up in the air,Annabelle didn't even know what to think. It was her time to see the magical islands that she always knew someday she'd get the chance. The noisy propeller carrying them up and up made her believe it was all a dream.  Her father knew her dreams of the islands in the clouds, so wanting to make her believe anything was real,he enthusiastically pointed out the window showing her the beautiful small rainbowed houses with fountains and pools and birds chirping and fluttering, and just a magical,calm life. The palm trees and rainbows made everything so bright that Annabelle immediately fell in love.  With a house on each cloud, everyone had friends and fun, living a perfect life.  Hugging Annabelle, her father whispered to her she gets to visit these islands soon, and she's going to have so many friends and fun and she'll love every minute of it. Reminding her that she can always look down and keep an eye on him and her mother, they said their goodbyes. "Goodbye Annabelle, see you soon."

Tick tock tick tock.
Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes. 
Time.. Time.. hmm.time.what is it? 
We want it to go fast during school hours 
we want it to slow down on the weekends. 
Wouldn't it all be so simple if we could just control it. 
Why can't we cant go back to moments in the past 
and why cant we see moments in the future. 
But what exactly is time? 
Why does it run our lives
why is time the only way we organize 
and carry on throughout our day. 
Is there really such a thing as being late, 
or is it just what we think and what we measure. 
Does it REALLY exist 
or is it just an illusion 
or perhaps an effect of motion? 
Is time a steady beat behind the universe
or is it different among every person and place. 
Some have all the time in the world-nothing to do, time-wasters
Others need more.want more.wish for more.
We want it all and we need it all
Time flies and we wish we could get it back.
Mistakes are made and we wish to go back in time and change it
What is our excuse to be lazy and relax all day watching Netflix
Because there's always tomorrow. 
There's always more time.
